I’m a little unique in growing up. Many of my friends didn’t have computers at home until they were in High School or College. I have had one since elementary school and have a mom who taught me how to find things in DOS, put hardware into a computer, and format floppy disks. My most interesting experience was putting a CD-Rom drive into the computer with the wrong kind of cables. Lesson learned was not to purchase cables from Radio Shack. While technology has changed a lot, I learned how to do a lot with the computer before. If you have a kid who you think might be interested in learning more about hardware or coding, this might be a fun big gift. Maybe a grandparent is looking to buy something really special.
