Amazon has tons of books that go on for free each day to their lists. With Amazon, prices change throughout the day and then these books may no longer be free. Even if you don’t have a kindle device, there are kindle apps available for your phone or you can read kindle books online directly.

Target sponsors free cultural events throughout the month in cities across the country. They have free entrance to concerts or museums. A lot of the events are over the weekends, but some are during the week. For instance, on Thursday nights, there is a free concert at Lincoln Center.

We have been taking out of the library for a couple months the Leapster Videos. My daughters love them and while it’s not the way we are teaching reading, it is definitely helping them with letter and sound recognition.
Amazon has them discounted. But with Amazon prices change throughout the day.
